A young Scottish monk braves the north sea to pursue a solitary life at the far edge of the known world in Iceland. When the war-mongering Vikings arrive, he escapes imminent death and heads back home—only to discover that raiders have abducted his sister and carried her to the very land he escaped. Haunted by fate and driven by love, he sets sail once more for the frozen frontier, forcing him to confront his faith, his past, and the violence he tried to outrun.  A stark historical adventure about faith, family, and finding courage at the end of the world.
